That was a trip.
Really not bad, but the edginess is palpable.
Thank you!!:)
I'm a sucker for unique multiplayer games like this, and I love it. Reminds me of The Castle Doctrine.
Would especially love to see this idea expanded upon in the future.
Enough to make me less of a Scrooge.
The compression is a little much imo, but this is lovely.
So, the pluck you're using as a main element is fine in the first drop - a little lacking but I'd say it's fine the first time we hear it, being that we're just starting out. After that, when we hear it again later on, it's noticeably lacking in power and could use a little something to give it some real 'oomph' - to maintain the energy that's been building to that point. This is one of those things that could be seen as personal taste, but I do think it's underwhelming. I think you could also afford to go just a little bit easier on the master compression.
My bigger gripe with this track, though, is that major parts of it are just totally out of time. I can't get in the groove when I'm being thrown off because things are out of tempo.
All that aside, this is decent. Keep practicing, and use your metronome. Trust in the metronome. It knows best.
My first thought is that the drums are too simple and static. A big part of DnB is high-energy/playful drumwork. The bass could also use a boost imo, it deserves to own its rightful place in the foreground. Otherwise, nice work. I appreciate how you kept the dynamic range intact.
Bruh I got chills. This is outstanding.
